Demos Chrissos is founder and president of RapidResponse Media. He is a writer-producer-director, hands-on audio and video editor as well as an award-winning original music composer. His creative work spans over three decades and has earned a number of local, regional and national creative awards. His background includes working as a writer/producer/co-creative director in several ad agencies, owning and managing a recording studio that serviced a variety of corporate, national and international clients in addition to a number of political consultants. For over 20 years he sat in the jump seat beside some of the most successful political media strategists in the business writing original music for a number of their high-profile Republican political campaigns and still writes original music today for a select few clients. This vantage point provided him a raw, behind-the-scenes look at the good, bad and the ugly moments of full-contact, political combat. His music work includes original post-scores for Jeb Bush, Mitt Romney, John Engler, Lamar Alexander, Ollie North, Christie Whitman, Tommy Thompson, and Bob Dole. One of his favorite citations was for his original music post-score work for a 1988 “Dole for President” video mentioned in Richard Ben Cramer’s book, “What It Takes – The Way to the White House” that is featured on his GOPMUSIC.COM Web site among other candidate campaign work.
Recently, he founded National Voters Alliance, a grassroots organization aimed at focusing attention on voter fraud and strengthening enforcement of laws that protect the integrity of U.S. elections. He has also testified before members of the Maryland Assembly opposing such groups as the ACLU and CASA of Maryland and has been frequently quoted in news articles and interviewed on both radio and television.
To My Family:
There are few things as important than understanding the true meaning and purpose of life, and once found, living the truth of this wisdom. Finding this wisdom and living it is not an easy task and one that can be filled with all shades of darkness, light, good, evil, pain and joy. What I have learned from my personal journey is that the path to true happiness requires an enormous amount of courage and conviction to peel back the layers to see life the way it really is--a quality that draws me to issue advocacy work. For me, this kind of work also requires clearly examining the underlying motives of those who seek to employ the use of my God-given talent and seeing whether or not this work can, in any way, separate me from being faithful to my core beliefs and ideals or morally damage me as a person. When this happens, I have found it far better to walk away from such work and such people rather than compromise my soul. And even when my decisions and choices have made life more difficult, you, my precious and loving family, have always been there to guide me, show me the light and support me. To me, understanding the value of this “truth” and the sacrifice each of you make to help bring clarity, meaning and purpose to my life, has been the key to any recent success, and something I owe to each of you. As a beautiful wife and chosen soulmate in whose spirit I am forever intertwined, and as loving generous children, you continue to be my real inspiration and lift me up to even greater heights.
Demos lives in Maryland, just outside Washington, DC and with his beautiful wife of 31 years, Karen, a professional classical singer. They have three children, Lauren, Adrian and Demetri--all musically talented.
